Is this unique?

This was taken during our wedding reception.

Why are we smiling? Coz we are all COVERED in $$

$ on our clothes.
$ on our heads ... as a crown.
$ on as a tail hanging on my back
$ on our waist as belts...
and lots of $ all over us :)

Yep... that is our traditional MONEY$$$ DANCE :)

How does it work?

.... yep, that's my MIL pinning some $$ on hubby's clothes.

When does this happen?
Well... after makan2, the couple has their 1st dance, and there onwards, everyone is given a pin for them to come up to the couple and pin some $$ onto them.
Any amount given is acceptable.
It symbolises that the couple will have $$ all through their married life :)

Tell me you've seen this before !!
Or else tell everyone you saw it HERE !! :) Hehehe.

Anyway, am putting this up coz I saw this contest with the MOST UNIQUE WEDDING PHOTO. And I thought this might qualify.

I also need to say why I think my picture is unique... well.. the pics says it all .. doesn't it?
I mean, how often do you see this?
It's pretty rare sight especially those who are not exposed to it.
When we had this in KL, everyone was BAFFLED by it.
Yet, everyone had so much fun !!

I also need to say WHY I Love to read the organiser's blog.
Well, honestly this is the first time am reading her blog.
But I have to say, she does write about some very interesting things.
Not just contest like this.
One thing I love is how on her right side corner of her blog, she has pictures of her taken with her hubby during her wedding, 1st anniversary, 2nd anniversary and 3rd anniversary.
How I wish I did that with my hubby every year.
But he's not exactly the photo taking type... so kinda hard to do :P

Anyway, I do hope you enjoy looking at our pics... its simple, not professionally taken, but the meaning is there and you should see our faces AFTER the dance !! We were busy UNPINNING the $$ from us. We had to stand still or else get poked... kakaka.
