VSS or no-VSS

Posted by Me at 10:59 PM
If you have worked for a company for over 10 years ... would you ever consider taking http://www.educationsupport.com.au/vte/_borders/Logo-VSS%206c.gif
(Voluntray Separation Scheme)

Hubby is considering it.
For me, I am not the kind to take the risk.

Mainly bcos I am NOT working.
So that means until hubby gets a new job, we will have to live on the VSS lump sum the company will be offering him.
I mean, we have loans and mortgages to pay.
2 on going school children.. other bills to pay too !!
I fret to think if he can't get a job.. what will happen.

I know I am doing a part time online biz.
But that alone cannot sustain us for now.
As I just recently got myself a personal loan to expand my biz.
I need to clear that one first before I can actually provide fully for my family in the event my hubby can't get a job fast.
Plus currently am so pampered with his company who covers our whole family medical expenses from GP to Paed to dental and even spectacles too. Oh maternity too... not that am planning to have another kids!
It may not sound like a lot but in the long run, it is a whole LOT of $$ right?

Am in dilemma, as a wife, I will support my hubby is whatever decision he makes.
Yet I still have to think of the worst in order to be prepared for anything.
If I had no kids.. I'd probably won't be so worried.

What's your 2 cents??
Care to share?
