Your Best Vacaction Moment CONTEST

Posted by Me at 4:39 AM

Here's another interesting contest to join :)

It made me dig up some of my fave pictures and I knew exactly which folder to open as my most favourite vacation was one that I took with my very BFF (best friend forever) last year to Langkawi.

You see, we have been friends since we met in college back in the 90s. We have been good friends since then and we are still best of friends :)

She has always been there for me. During my wedding, she became my bridesmaid. She helped in organising my wedding in every aspect she could. She even flew all the way back to Sabah with me to be walk down the aisle during my wedding day. She was there to help me with everything I needed. She flew back here to KL and was most helpful with my family when they came for our wedding reception too. She was there when I got my first and second child. She is always there during their birthdays. She is there during my anniversary. Whenever I have parties, she is always there for me :) Anyway, you get the drift on just how important she is in my life.

So we took this trip last year... I have loads of pictures to share but here are 3 of the ones I wanna share for this contest :)

... taken at the Langkawi Bridge :)

... taken at Langkawi's Dataran Helang during sunset

... look at the beautiful jellyfish ... taken at Langkawi Underwater World :)

Just 2 of us girls took the trip. We hired a car and got ourselves a few maps. We asked around the drove around the whole island in the 3 days we were there. We visited the Dataran Helang and took lovely sunset pictures and of course pictures of the ever famous EAGLE :)

We went to Underwater World to see the penguins. Didn't know there we so many type and so many faces. Some look like old man, some looks just like Happy Feet. Some look so sad and yet some look so happy. I like the jellyfish as my pic above. The color so vibrant and the movement so graceful.. never would you seem that they could easily kill.

We took a trip up the cable to see the famous bridge. We met a few foreigners and made friends with them too. We almost went for the foot massage right up at the top of the cable ride. We met some fellow Malaysian cyclist and got to know them and took some pics with them too. We bought loads of souvenirs for our friends and our families too.

We drove to Tanjung Rhu and on the way we stopped at the Padang Telekom to see a family day telematch. We mingled with the local kids and played with them. We took pics and we show it to them. We ate asam laksa and drank coconut water. We ate beside the sandy beach while watching the emcee announced the day's winning team.

We reached Tg.Rhu just in time to enjoy the sunset. Took loads of pics and scribbled markings on the sand. We met some other holiday goers and exchanged places to go. We helped them take their picture as they took for us too.

We had seafood dinner at a ridicolously cheap price. We ate so much we had to drink some wine. We bought some liquors to bring back. Some chocolates too. Some nougats and cigars, some souvenirs too.

We went to Pulau Dayang Bunting to visit the lake. Walked up and down the stairs with monkeys eyeing us anear. We panted while walking. Talking and laughing. We dip our toes on the miracle lake and got the fish nibbling :)

We went to feed the eagles at one of the island. And went swimming and dipping at the other one. Saw a huge jellyfish which scared some swimmers but to those who didnt know, they kept on their laughters.

Made more friends during the island trip. A lovely family with their lovely kids. 2 young man who traveled, one so skinny, one the total opposite. The boat rocked and it felt so unbalanced, we had to ask the other guy to sit at the middle so as to make sure the boat doesn't topple.

We wanted to go for Japanese massage but when we got there, it was all so dark. We decided not to go in, in fear we were just two. And no one else knew where we were and so we had dinner instead.

Continued to watch the people jet skiing. And was even very tempted to try paragliding. But due to my bad back, I decided not to try although now I regret and will regret forever. Only pictures will help me release myself from keeping on thinking of being high up there :)

That's just a summary of we did there. We plan to have another trip again. Hopefully soon as I already need a break. A break from my daily routine and have some fun again.

That's my story.. hope you enjoyed it !!
